Sun Ray 2 Thin Client

Today, Sun announced new Sun Ray Thin Clients.

I’m really looking forward to test them, especially the Sun Ray 2FS version with dual head support. Of course, it’s necessary to run Sun Ray Server to have fun with Sun Ray Clients. I hope, that Sun Ray Server 4.0 will bring a really good Microsoft Terminal Server Integration, which is also testable right now.

  1. Someone says:

Can this client work out of the box, connecting to a VMWare Solaris image running on top of Windows XP? :)

  2. Abdo says:

We are interrested in testing our application on different models of thin client, it would be of a great help if having a thin client image (VMWare image) is available, does any one knows if there is such thing?

  3. You can install Sun Ray Software on the following Operating Systems on VMWARE:

    SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 SP3 (x86)
    Solaris 10 11/06 x86
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4 Update 3

    See: http://www.sun.com/software/sunray/getit.jsp

But you still need a Sun Ray Thin Client.
