Zattoo ist ein wirklich cooler IPTV Client für Win/Mac/Linux. Mit DVB-T hier in Berlin will Arte bei mir nicht so recht, mit Zattoo klappts. Sogar mit ARD und ZDF, also in der ersten Reihe. Fehlt nur noch die Aufnahmefunktion…

Web 2.0 Expo 2008

Great to see, that the famous Web 2.0 Expo will be in Berlin again this year. Call for participation is now open and I’m currently thinking to participate. As the Web 2.0 Expo 2007 was a really important event last year in Berlin, I hope to see as much interesting sessions and keynotes in 2008 as last year.

RIPE 56 meeting in Berlin

Although I was not able to visit all sessions at the RIPE 56 meeting this week in Berlin, it was really important for me to go there. Not only, that I had the chance to see the fantastic people I met at the Euro-IX Forum in Stockholm, RIPE meeting gives me also the opportunity to meet people I only knew via mail and telephone. And of course there were a lot of cool social events in the evenings over the week. My favorite event was the party in the club Trompete, sponsored by NETNOD.

Web 2.0 Expo Berlin

Today, the Web 2.0 Expo Berlin started. I saw two workshop sessions and the Keynote of Tim O’Reilly. The “Scalable Web Architectures: Common Patterns and Approaches” workshop (3 hours..) by Cal Henderson (Flickr) was really great, also the 3 hour presentation by Dion Hinchcliffe.

Starting tomorrow morning, you’ll find me a the Sun Microsystems booth in the exhibit hall 2.2, booth no. D135.

I’ll presenting some of the Hosting Solutions by Pixelpark.

Sun Blade 6000 arrived

The first Sun Blade 6000 with a couple of Sun Blade X6250 Server Modules with Intel Clovertown Quad Core CPUs and 32Gb RAM arrived. The chassis is really heavy, we’ ll put it in the Colocation Rack within the next days with three people…
